Last Remaining Piece of Exploded Cannon Located

Texas A&M and former Valcour Research Bay Project principal Ed Scollon have been doing some more exploration of the lake and they have found a major (last) piece of the exploded cannon from the Battle of Valcour Island gondola New York. It is a missing piece of the cannon (3D printed) CCHA has in its exhibit. The original cannon pieces are at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum in Vergennes. The plan is to bring the piece out of the lake on Monday and have it arrive at the Peru Boat Dock at noon. This is history being made and there will be a short commemoration to honor the event.
