This fifteen-room Colonial Revival museum houses Alice T. Miner’s collection of furniture, ceramics, glass, samplers, silhouettes, quilts, dolls, and more, most from the 18th and 19th centuries. The museum also displays artifacts related to Alice and William Miner’s life and philanthropic work in the North Country.

Selected collection materials include: Clintonville iron industry, Ausable Horse Nail Company, Peanut Railroad, Keeseville Mineral Springs, Keeseville High School yearbooks, history of Keeseville bridges, churches. Research resources: maps, Essex County Republican newspaper, cemetery records, family histories, military and vital records. Docent-guided tours average 30-45 minutes. Access to the museum and exhibits is stair-free; service dogs welcome.

Live the heritage of the Adirondacks as you journey into the past at the Babbie Rural & Farm Learning Museum. Make it an adventure for the whole family as you experience how people lived from the 1800s to the mid-1900s. This museum consists of 17 display buildings resting on 3.5 picturesque acres. Starting in 2023, they are offering a "Step Back in Time" tour--a guided private tour for parties of 5 or more.

Open year round and located on the Old Base Museum Campus, the museum houses over 50,000 artifacts and documents and an extensive celluloid and glass plate negative collection. Gallery themes include Business and Industry, Transportation, Redford Glass, "The Honor of Your Prescence" featuring wedding gowns from their collection, the Clinton County Prohibition Story featuring a 'line house', diorama, replica speak-easy and a player piano, Lake Champlain’s Military History, featuring the Aikin rifle and a diorama by world renowned artist, Arto Monaco, depicting the Battles of Valcour and Plattsburgh. Researchers have access to the extensive research files and library of local history. The Gift Shop offers the largest selection of County history and literature in the area.

With dioramas of the Clinton Correctional Facility, a 1933 barber’s chair, local Native American artifacts, a restored ice harvesting machine and early large fire extinguisher, as well as an early school and education display, a photo display of historic lodging properties and a full DVD collection of the Clayburg Mines, Seneca Ray Stoddard, Arrowheads, Last Maine Logging, Trains and Local Glass Negative Slide Show, Dannemora Village Museum tells the story of the early years of Dannemora, NY.

Dive into the milling and forging of iron ore with a 36-inch model of the Standish blast furnace. Uncover Standish's history as the iron industry hub, featuring artifacts, photos dating back to 1881, and the 1890 bell from St. Michael's Church. See the original 1936 Iron Shoes Bobsled, designed and fabricated in the Lyon Mountain and Standish mining operations.

​The museum hosts a year-round schedule of changing exhibitions presenting a variety of contemporary artists, museum collections, faculty, and student artwork in the Myers building. Permanent exhibit spaces include the Nina Winkel Courtyard and The Rockwell Kent Gallery. The museum owns the most complete collection in the country of the works of Rockwell Kent and is in the Feinberg Library.

The Rouses Point History and Welcome Center, located in the renovated former Delaware and Hudson Railroad Station owned by the Village of Rouses Point, is a beautiful 1889 building. It houses exhibits on the D & H Railroad, Ayerst, Wyeth, Pfizer, and local history, including displays on Fort Montgomery and businesses, churches, and organizations throughout Rouses Point's history. This collection includes pictures, ledgers, invoices, business cards, and descriptions of establishments spanning from the late 1700s to the 1900s.

Throughout Museum Day participants will be able to follow the Adirondack Arts & History Passport around the county.  The Adirondack Coast Arts & History Passport is free to pick up and is truly your passport to local heritage and culture on Museum Day and throughout the summer season.
